1st Beauty Lab is a Vienna-based skincare brand. Founded by a Master Cosmetician with over 30 years of professional experience and her partner, who leads brand and digital. Independent, family-owned, and built on one conviction: less but better is more.

How it started

For over 30 years, Claudia treated skin professionally every day at her institute in Vienna. She worked with many brands. Some were good. But she always wished for something truly reduced to the essentials. No unnecessary additives, no fragrances, no compromises.

So she formulated her own serums. Five years of development, testing, and refining. Her clients started asking to take them home. That became 1st Beauty Lab.

The approach is simple: fewer ingredients at higher concentrations. Every ingredient earns its place. Everything else is left out on purpose. The result is a small range of professional anti-aging serums for mature skin, made in Austria.

Claudia Vanicek-Wixinger

Founder and Formulator

Master Cosmetician and certified cosmetics formulator. Over 30 years of professional skincare experience and more than 10,000 treatments performed at her institute in Vienna. Claudia developed every formula over five years of formulation work. She owns all product decisions: ingredients, concentrations, what goes in and what stays out.

Sebastian Olesko

Co-Founder and Creative Director

Creative director, brand strategist, and digital operator. Over 30 years in brand, design, and marketing. Sebastian leads all creative and digital operations, from visual identity and copy to the website and e-commerce. He owns how 1st Beauty Lab looks, sounds, and reaches people.

Every product we make meets these standards. They are not marketing claims. They are verifiable commitments.

Dermatologically Tested

Every serum has been tested under dermatological supervision for skin compatibility. This is an independent clinical assessment, not an internal review.

Independently Quality Confirmed

Our products are tested by accredited independent laboratories. Quality confirmation covers microbiological safety, stability, and composition. We do not rely on in-house testing alone.

Made in Austria

All serums are developed and manufactured in Austria. Formulation, filling, and quality control happen locally according to EU Cosmetic and safety regulations.

EU Safety Assessed

Every product undergoes a formal EU Cosmetic Product Safety Assessment in accordance with EU Regulation 1223/2009. This includes a toxicological review of all ingredients and a safety evaluation by a qualified assessor. The assessment is completed before any product reaches the market.

A Letter from Claudia

Dear customers and friends,

Those who know me know I don't settle easily. Especially not when it comes to products I use in my institute or recommend to my clients.

In over 30 years of practice, I have worked with many brands. Some were good. But I often wished there was something truly reduced to the essentials. No unnecessary additives, no fragrances, no compromises on quality.

Five years ago, I began developing my own skincare line. Not from a marketing idea, but originally for the daily work in my treatments, for my clients, for you. From the desire to create skincare that reliably and efficiently supports, is well tolerated, and makes sense long term.

A lot was tested, adjusted, and discarded again. Development takes time, especially when you want to do it right. I spent five years removing one unnecessary ingredient after another. But the fewer the ingredients, the more care the formulation requires.

Many of you already know our Hyaluron Super Facial from our treatments. Over time, more and more of you wanted to use these serums at home as well. That is how 1st Beauty Lab was born. A skincare line of 3 serums.
