Application, Usage & Skincare Tips
How to get the best out of your skincare routine.
from Claudia Vanicek-Wixinger. 30+ years in professional skincare expertise
Everything on this page comes from one place: Claudia's treatment room. After 30 years and thousands of clients, she's seen what works and what doesn't. Not in theory, but on real skin. These are the habits and techniques that make the biggest difference.
How to apply the serum.
Four steps. Once in the morning, once in the evening. Consistent care compounds.
The airless precision pump delivers exactly the right amount with every pump. No guessing, no spilling, no dripping, no contamination from fingers or air.
CLEANSE, STAY DAMP.
Use lukewarm water when cleansing, not hot. Hot water can dry out the skin unnecessarily and put stress on the skin barrier.
Do not dry your face completely afterwards. If needed, gently pat with a clean, soft towel. Your skin should still be slightly damp when you apply the serum.
The serums work best on slightly damp skin. This gives the hyaluronic acid moisture to bind to the skin.
OPEN, PUMP, APPLY.
Twist the base of the dispenser to open it. The airless dispenser helps protect the formula from air, light, and unnecessary contact. It also keeps the serum hygienic and precisely dosed.
Use 2-3 pumps for the face. For face, neck, and décolleté, we recommend 4-5 pumps.
Do not forget the neck and décolleté. These areas often show visible signs of dryness, loss of firmness, and UV exposure early.
Apply the serum gently from the outer areas inward. Do not rub strongly. Spread it evenly and calmly over the skin.
DAMPEN, MASSAGE, TAP.
Lightly dampen your fingertips. This helps you work the serum into the skin gently, without pulling or irritating it.
Massage gently, then tap and press the serum lightly into the skin. This helps work it damp into damp and distribute it evenly.
Keep the technique calm and soft. Do not rub aggressively. The skin should not be mechanically stressed.
SEAL, PROTECT, FINISH.
Finish with cream while the skin is still slightly damp. This helps seal in moisture and keep the skin feeling comfortable for longer.
In the morning, always use sunscreen. UV exposure is one of the main causes of premature skin aging, even on cloudy days.
After that, continue with makeup or your usual routine. The serums are formulated to layer smoothly and sit comfortably under cream, SPF, and makeup.
If you use two of our serums together, SILK NIACINAMIDE should always be applied last because of its beautiful silk finish. That means: PURE then SILK, COLLAGEN then SILK, or PURE then COLLAGEN. Let the first serum absorb fully before applying the second. Or simply split them between morning and evening.
Give It Time
Visible results don't appear overnight. Here's what's happening beneath the surface:
The three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid begin building hydration at different depths. Your moisture barrier is strengthening. You may notice skin feels more comfortable and less tight.
Deep hydration layers are accumulating. SILK users may notice early improvements in texture and glow. COLLAGEN users: collagen synthesis has been initiated but structural changes take time.
This is the results window. Hydration is visibly improved. Fine lines appear softer. Skin tone is more even. Firmness improvements from COLLAGEN INFUSION become noticeable.
Cumulative benefits compound. Consistent daily use delivers the best results. This is why Claudia recommends committing to 30 days before judging any skincare product.
If a product causes immediate redness, stinging, or irritation, stop use. Our formulations are dermatologically tested and contain no common irritants, but individual reactions are always possible.

Where It Fits in Your Routine
Our serums go on after cleansing and before your cream. Here's the full sequence:
| Step | Morning | Evening |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cleanse with lukewarm water (gentle, SLS-free) | Double cleanse with lukewarm water (oil cleanser first, then foam/gel) |
| 2 | While skin is still damp: apply serum | While skin is still damp: apply serum |
| 3 | Cream | Cream or sleeping mask |
| 4 | SPF (non-negotiable, every day) | - |
| 5 | Makeup (optional) | - |
Claudia's AM/PM split recommendation: If you prefer to use two serums across your daily routine rather than layering them together, apply SILK NIACINAMIDE in the morning (its lightweight finish works beautifully before makeup) and COLLAGEN INFUSION in the evening (overnight is when the skin's repair mechanisms are most active). This is Claudia's own routine preference from the treatment room.
10 Skincare Tips from an Expert
From Claudia Vanicek-Wixinger, Master Cosmetician with over 30 years of professional skin treatment.
Use a Lot of It. Seriously.
This is not about selling you more product, but one of the biggest differences between home skincare and a professional treatment is the amount of product used and the time spent working it into the skin.
In the treatment room, actives are not just applied once and left there. It is worked into the skin over many minutes, with repeated massage, tapping, and pressing. Professionals use far far more product than someone would normally use at home.
Your Neck and Décolleté Are Your Face
The first areas to show visible aging are also the most ignored. Most skincare stops at the chin. It should not. UV exposure accelerates neck and décolleté aging for all of us. 4 to 5 pumps are recommended precisely because of this. Starting early means prevention. Starting later is still worthwhile.
Work Damp Into Damp
Hyaluronic acid needs moisture to work at its best. That is why the serum should be applied to slightly damp skin after cleansing. Lightly dampen your fingertips as well, then gently massage, tap, and press the serum into the skin. Follow with cream while the skin is still slightly damp. This helps keep more moisture where it should be: in and on the skin.
Ditch the Rough Towel
Do not rub dry. Pat gently with a soft, clean towel. Use a fresh one each time (towels collect bacteria fast). Better still: skip the towel entirely. Damp skin absorbs actives significantly better. Never leave skin dry more than 60 seconds after cleansing.
Change Your Pillowcase Often
8 hours face-down means sebum, dead cells, bacteria, and hair product residue. Change every 2 to 3 days minimum. Every other day for breakout-prone or sensitive skin. Choose smooth cotton or silk. This reduces friction and helps prevent sleep creases from becoming permanent lines.
Sleep Is Your Most Powerful Treatment
Peak skin repair: 10pm to 2am. Blood flow increases, the barrier becomes more permeable, and collagen repair accelerates. Sleep deprivation spikes cortisol, which breaks down collagen and elastin, creates dark circles, and impairs the barrier. Aim for 7 to 8 hours. Apply your evening serum before this window, not at midnight.
SPF Every Day, No Exceptions
UV damage is the number one preventable cause of premature aging. Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, regardless of weather or time spent outdoors. Apply after cream, before makeup. Most people apply half the recommended amount. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors. Neck, ears, and décolleté included.
Manage Stress, Protect Your Barrier
Cortisol spikes break down collagen, impair the barrier, cause breakouts, and accelerate aging. Visible signs: blotchy, uneven, sensitive, dull skin. During high-stress periods: simplify your routine, focus on gentle and soothing products, and do not introduce new actives.
Hydration Comes from Both Sides
Drinking water is not enough. Skin needs topical hydration too. Oil production and water content are independent systems. Oily skin can be dehydrated. Three-layer hydration: humectants (HA) draw water in, emollients smooth the surface, occlusives seal it in. Serums handle the humectant layer. Your cream handles the rest.
Your Skin Changes with the Seasons
Skin type is stable. Daily condition is not. Winter brings barrier breakdown, redness, and flaking. Summer brings breakouts and dehydration from sun and chlorine. Seasonal transitions hit hardest. Claudia's advice: assess your skin every morning, touch it, and adjust accordingly. Rigid, unchanging routines consistently underperform.
A Note from Claudia
I've watched skincare marketing become more complicated every year. More steps, more products, more confusion. But in my treatment room, the truth has always been simple: clean skin, good ingredients, consistent habits, and patience. That's what works. Everything on this page is what I tell my clients before they leave the spa, because the results they see depend as much on what they do at home as what I do in the treatment room.
Your skin is worth the care. Give it 30 days.
